IAAD. TECHE

IAAD.Teche is not only a physical space but a network of tools that IAAD. makes available to its students and teachers for research and documentation activities.

A physical and virtual library for consulting texts and magazines, a library for digital design, access to the Material Connexion design platform and to textile collections are only some of the services that IAAD. Teche offers its community.

 MULTIMEDIA LABORATORIES

IAAD. Turin is equipped with multimedia laboratories with capacities ranging from 25 to 31 workstations. Each laboratory contains specific hardware and software for the different types of activities taught at the Institute. The IAAD. laboratories are set up with: 

• Lab1 – Apple iMac computers and HD 2.10 Sennheiser headphones
• Lab2 – Lenovo workstations and Wacom Cintiq 22” drawing tablets
• Lab3 – HP Workstation computers and drawing tablets

IAAD. MODEL LABS.

FDM printers, stereolithographic printers, drills, cutters, grinders, planes, lathes, sanders…in the IAAD. model shops and the affiliated external labs, students have at their disposal all of the necessary tools to create mock-ups, models and prototypes, with the support of a lab assistant who will guide them in the use of different tools and in identifying the most effective design solutions, while ensuring that they use the equipment safely.

FASHION LABS

In the IAAD. fashion workshops, you will find cutting tables, mannequins, sewing machines, fabric samples and all of the tools needed for sewing, pattern-making and tailoring courses, as well as for the development of individualized projects.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND VR LABS

In IAAD.’s photography and VR labs, state-of-the-art equipment is available for teaching activities and can be reserved for the creation of individual projects.

CASA IAAD.

CASA IAAD. at IAAD. Turin is a space designed by students for students, spread out over 160 square meters with another 250 square meters of furnished terraces. It is a space where students can spend their free time between lessons, to study, design, discuss important topics and meet for a meal together. 
Created in collaboration with LAGO, CASA IAAD. is equipped with a multifunctional kitchen, work tables, a social table and sofas in the relaxation area.
