Since the very beginning of our human history, we have always shaped the space around us and as a result that space have shaped us, influencing our culture, our behaviors, our wellbeing. We defined our history’s ages from the material we used to create things using our hands and later the tools we developed. From hunting and gathering to farming and artisanry, to its contemporary form, work has played a fundamental role in people’s lives and human history.

The objective of this workshop is to analyze the dialog between human beings and work-spaces: how people perceive and experience the space where they work and how that space impacts the quality of their work and life. In the post-pandemic world, the office ceased to be the only place where work is done. Which is the new dialog that work-space and human beings should establish? Which are the key characteristics and dimensions we should consider designing a work-place that is a magnet for people? In this new dialog of metaphorical loud and feeble exchanges what is the role played by silence and sound?Explore the dialog’s dynamics to identify the missing pieces in the current office design narrative and define new guiding principles and experiences to create the next generation work environment.
